SeaWorld – September 16, 2018

Kraken (photo from USA today) – named after the mythological underwater east. Top speed of 65 miles per hour.  4.000 ft in length. First drop of 144 feet.  Floorless coaster in open sided seats.

This looks like Mako to me – I can’t be sure. Apparently Orlando’s tallest and fastest roller coaster.  200 ft high, 4,760 feet of track, 73 miles per hour.

Clyde and Seamore’s Sea Lion High

Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin

This was the only ride/exhibit where we had any noticeable wait. We went in the afternoon, and had about an hour wait.  I can’t remember much about the ride, but it exits to the penguin enclosure.  I saw some entering through the exit when we departed; I think I would be tempted to do the same and skip the ride (and the line)

Manta – from the Unofficial guide “The king of SeaWorld rides, Manta is a steel coaster … riders four  across lying facedown.  ..Pretzel loop, 360 degree in-line roll, and two corkscrews.. first drop of 113 feet. Four inversions while reach heights of 140 ft and 55 miles per hour.

Journey to Atlantis – Water ride and roller coaster combo. Eight-passenger boats plunge down a near vertical 60-ft waterfall.
